Scholars Program

We're very fortunate to have several selective scholar programs here in the College of Business. So Rise Up is one, we have our Finance Scholars, and then our Menard Family Scholars Program and that's the one that I direct here in the college.

We have students from every discipline. Those students get a variety of networking opportunities, specialized advising, early access to our career development services. And we have an opportunity fund for students to meet their needs with anything related to personal and professional development throughout their time here.

So in Rise Up, students get inclusive leadership training, and it's powered by an organization called, "Giant" and what leadership training was developed, actually, [was] for working professionals. So consultants all over the world are helping executives, be leaders-- be better leaders and lead better teams. And for the very first time, we've brought that down to the college level for our business students to learn and gain from.

And we also have K-State Finance Scholars Program as well. So the program focuses on Finance students who have specific goals to enter into careers in investment banking, private equity, asset management, and management consulting. So our specific goals are to help students to get internships in those areas, and finally, get full-time positions when they graduate.
