You can go wherever you want here at K State. People are gonna give you resources, they're gonna give you the time of the day, as long as you're willing to put in the effort, people are gonna respect you for that, and they're gonna give you opportunities. Entrepreneurship is not just one idea, you got to come up with that one idea, and you'd have several ideas to make sure you can continue down that road. And that's what K State teaches you. So the Center for Advanced Entrepreneurship here at K State is an amazing, not just community, but also just a physical space. If you walk into the building, the Entrepreneurship Center is the first thing you're gonna see. And you're gonna see people in there every day, people are going to be in the space, working hard collaborating with each other and coming up with new ideas.
So in our program, students get the opportunity to learn directly from real world entrepreneurs, whether that's in the classroom, or as a part of our competitions or other types of events and mentoring programs, it really gives them the opportunity to flesh out a business idea that they might have, but also to learn what it might be like to work with a startup or work within an existing company. K State launches a university wide idea competition, it's open to any student across campus, and it's a chance for them to develop a business idea and then practice pitching it to a panel of investors.
You actually get money to go execute on a business idea or that business plan. We actually won the K State launch competition, and it allowed us to take our business to the next level, which was an awesome experience. If you come into K State with an idea, the business school and Entrepreneurship Center is a really great place to foster it. So they not only teach you what to do when you have the ideas and the next step, but they help foster the mentality that is to basically generate those ideas.
