The Supply Chain Management program has recently been redesigned to meet the needs of businesses today. As you know, supply chain is growing rapidly. And our curriculum now focuses on all the important areas in supply chain management. It's flexible and adaptable can meet the needs of individual students, and at the same time is designed to meet the needs that our current corporate partners have.
We are one of the very few programs which provides a series of the OSCM courses starting from the source of raw materials to the final delivery of the product / services to customers. So we cover literally, we cover all courses, covering from the very first step of supply chain to the very last step of supply chain.
We have a student run club called the Global Supply Chain Club that gives them opportunities to both lead and interact with companies that are hiring our students each year. Every year, we have a study abroad trip currently goes to Germany and the Netherlands that give students an opportunity to see international supply chain challenges and businesses. Every year we go to Detroit and participate in the General Motors Case Competition. We also have opportunities for students to be able to travel and go see some of our local corporate partners and to visit their facilities and see their supply chain challenges and interact with their top management.
I've been able to network with other students and make connections within the community here who are traveling all over the world after graduation. I know people who are going into logistics, people who are pursuing careers in operations, people who are moving halfway across the world. And that's just a really cool situation at the end where I formed a community here at K State and then the network just spreads all over. And this is going to be the next generation of supply chain professionals. And so that's just it's a cool thing to be a part of
